WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? We're inviting all pet/animal owners to send a photo of their pet/animal (dog, cat, snake, fish, bird, turtle, cow, goat, etc.) to us at: ProfessorFrisky@aol.com We will post it at: Professor Frisky's Animal Friends Photo Gallery (we ask that you limit each photo to a single animal, with its name and city; and it MUST be in .jpg format; we reserve the right to not post any photo if it does not meet these specifications or is found to be of such poor quality that the pet/animal will not be shown well). WHY? The "Professor Frisky's Animal Friends" theme, its pages and sections on this website will be one of our ways of getting our message out about a very important part of early childhood development – a child’s knowledge of and potential interaction with animals. As part of our Emotional Literacy Systems' teaching method for preschool children we have extended this “Animal Section” beyond our original intent for very serious and specific reasons (much of the "teaching" will be done through our songs, books, home-use and/or preschool facility-use curriculums and the other methods we’ve incorporated into our Patent Pending system for emotional literacy), i.e., we believe that children’s social and emotional well-being would be amply served by starting them at an early age with a fun approach to having an appreciation, respect and knowledge of animals in general, and their own potential to own pets in particular. DO YOU PAY ANYTHING? NO. We will have animal related songs and books available for sale on this site Animal Songs and Books, but you are not obligated to buy, in order for your pet/animal to be shown in the gallery. In fact, before you might purchase, we will likely already have posted your pet/animal. Most of what we teach is done through the setting and philosophy of Gravity Free University and Professor Frisky von Onion Bagel, S.D. aka Super Doggy and is carefully designed to EnDUCATE on a number of levels. WHAT IS GRAVITY FREE UNIVERSITY? By introducing more people to Gravity Free University and showing how it is open to children and animals (basically every living creature) and how they can be anything they want to be, it serves as a wonderful teaching aide to build self-esteem and the desire to achieve. WHAT’S YOUR PRIMARY FOCUS? "Preschool Children" between the ages of 3 and 5 years old (we've found that some younger and many older children have a great appreciation for this approach as well). WHO IS PROFESSOR FRISKY von ONION BAGEL, S.D., aka SUPER DOGGY? He’s more than mere words can describe! Watching children react to him and the stories built around him are a special reward indeed. Professor Frisky is the character Marilyn Lewis used in creating the entire Emotional Literacy System. He’s not any particular breed, thus no worry about children wanting a dog just like him (often ending up in a local shelter); he’s not too cute; and the children are told that he’s not really a toy, but a teaching aide to their teachers. WHY DO YOU HAVE A ”DONATION” SECTION AND WHO RECEIVES THESE DONATIONS? We are putting out the word to all Animal Rescue organizations across America, that they have a FREE DONATION Link from our site. We will do our best to sign up as many as possible, which simply means that once they ask us for a Donation link and a person wishes to donate to them, anything donated will go directly to the organizations PayPal Account or however they elect to receive your donation (we will NOT receive or would we accept a single penny from these donations you make). Fun Factory’s CEO, Ms. Lewis, recently adopted a cat (named Tiger) through such an organization Purrfect Friends in Melbourne, FL, and was so impressed with their honesty, caring and overall warmth that she made a corporate decision to expand the entire website to address this subject in a broader manner than first envisioned, hence the Petfinder.com link. We are also very fond and supportive of the Best Friends Animal Society - they are doing such outstanding work for ALL animals in need of a home.
